Well, it's going great so far! We've got three Minis who just need their i's dotted and t's crossed and then they are Adopted! It's looking good for Disco, Kipper and Candy!
Everyone is doing well. It was rainy today, but we did have a long stretch of clear days and they were all playing and having a great time! We're just trucking along, helping the fat ones get thin and the thin ones get fat. The gelded boys are all healing just fine and dandy. Once the Adopted ones move out and Triumph and Rhapsody are parasite free, we'll be shuffling them around and seeing who is best with who. Rhapsody is still quite jumpy and Triumph would likely do better with a calm buddy who already likes humans. Triumph is very willing to be handled, but reacts with Rhapsody when he starts moving. Rhapsody would also likely benefit from having a buddy that he doesn't feel like he has to take care of and protect. I think it would help him relax and take it easier. We'll leave them sharing a fenceline so that they can still hang out and they'll likely have group playtime together. I think that they paired out of necessity though and they'll be fine with other buddies. It won't be too long before Rhapsody can eat normal rations, but Triumph will still need the all-you-can-eat buffet and that would necessitate splitting them anyways. We'll keep a close eye on them to be sure they are handling it well.
I went and visited Robin Hood at his Foster Home. He is doing very well there and they are very positive about his recovery. She sent me some great photos of him there...
