Is September half over already?!

WOW!  Time is sure flying!

Everybody is doing very well.  I let everyone have a mingle today when I was scooping.  Jupiter was having fun trying to keep up with his big buddies.  They look cute when they are together because they are very similar colour, but Jupe is a mini-me!  LOL

I hadn't done much with the pony-boys since their operations, but today I was back at their regular routine.  (Catching, grooming, bugging, leading etc.)  Rufio just breaks my heart.  He has come a very long way, but he will still actually gasp in surprise if I do something that he's not expecting.  His whole body just folds up and he freezes like he's expecting the worst.  He was very good about his feet today, as well as his tail.  It's still slow going with his hooves, but he will willingly pick them up for me once he realizes I'm not trying to get him to fall over!

Sable is still a bit of a challenge to catch, but he is very good about everything else.  He is learning what is expected of him in regards to moving away from pressure etc.  He was actually dozing, hip-shot, today when I was grooming him.  No worries there!  He no longer has an issue with picking up his right hind either.

So, things are just rolling along.  We would like to thank Sawatzky's Imagination Corporation for the load of crush.  We topped up the low areas and re-built our "Therapy Hill" in the big paddock.  The horses love to climb the hill and be "King of the Castle"!
