Hiya!
Well... January is done! A month of freezing temperatures, piles of snow, and many hours of watching Dash through the night! It was cold, it was tiring - but we've survived! LOL
I had mentioned that the horses loved the snow... here is a video clip of them having some fun!
Magpie is doing very well. I took some new pictures on Monday, you can click here to see her progress. The vet has us down to every three days now for the bandage changes. It's been nearly two months, and it looks like two, three or more to go. She is a real trooper though.
It looks like Epic may be Adopted by his foster family! He just fits right in there!
Mac's surgery went very well. He was, as suspected, an abdominal crypt. There was no way that was coming out without the more extensive surgery. He is healing up well and hopes to make an appearance at the Jonathan Field Clinic on the 18th!
Legend has returned from his foster home, as I want to take him as my partner in the Jonathan Field Clinic. I am hoping to get through some of his fear and get some good pointers at the Clinic on how to deal with abused horses. Time and TLC are greatly helped by knowledgeable handling when it comes to the abuse cases. I am hoping to improve my skills in this area. We always seem to have some each year that are just terrified and I want to help them swiftly and confidently.
It seems as though Dash and her foal have got a good home lined up. They won't go anywhere until the baby is old enough to travel safely, but they've got a terrific place waiting for them! Now there are even more folks addicted to the Dash-Cam, and with good reason!
Please check out our "LOVE 14" campaign! Thank you all for your support!
LOL... here are a couple of pictures of Rarity from her Adopter. She wanted to know exactly what kind of Mini I had sent her... she was sure she remembered me guaranteeing that she would stay white! ROFLOL
Upon delivery...

... and the next day! LOL
