It's the gemstone era!

 Hi!

So, Sweetpea is Adopted and so is Cooper!  YAY!

Tuffi and Blizzard have interested parties at the emailing stage, so fingers crossed that things develop positively for them!  Rockstar is doing really well and is much beloved at his foster home.

Hula is doing GREAT!  I went up and took some new shots of her and she is just a whole new horse!

Bobbysox continues to improve.  He's a bit like an onion, many layers of issues to get through, but his foster mom is really enjoying working with him.  Here is his latest venture... GROUND DRIVING!

Rhapsody is doing terrific as well!  I just received some great new photos and videos of him... let me see if I can figure out how to put those on here...

Rhapsody actually allowing Tara to approach him while in a huge space!  LOL
Rhapsody JUMPING!

AND, we have four new arrivals!

We are going to use gemstone names at least until we hit #75!  So, we are happy to introduce Opal, Jade, Cinnabar and Jet!

Opal and Jade are very sweet girls.  Opal is 12 and Jade is 5.  They have been ultrasounded and are NOT in foal luckily.  The four of them were just tethered out on a property, so we were crossing our fingers that they had stayed separated!  The girls and Cinnabar are thin, but Jet is utterly emaciated.  Cinnabar has now been gelded and all four have had a start on their feet.  Jet's feet will take a long time to get right and we're hoping that he does not have permanent damage due to apparent founder and neglected farrier care.

Cinnabar is very defensive and reactionary so far.  He is just scared though.  I think that by the time I get through his matted mane, we'll be the best of friends.  It will take a few sessions I think... it's just one solid, twisted matt.  Jet needs some positive attention as well.  He is very nervous of us too, but not aggressive at all.

Here is a slideshow of the August horses, with the new guys at the end.
