Liking the Likers!

Well, we've hit 1000 "likers" on our Facebook page!  I think that we'll have our 100th horse in no time as well, seeing as # 83 - #86 arrived in the last two days.  It has been a phenomenal year.  As much as it pains me to see so many Minis needing our help... it is pretty cool that there are that many kind folks taking them into their lives as Adopters as well!

So, here's the roll call...

Tuffi and Blizzard are ADOPTED!  This pair of special Minis finally found their family, and what a great bunch of people they are!  They are ready and willing to take on the special care of these cuties!

Bobbysox, Rhapsody and Hula are still hanging out at their Foster Homes.  Jet has now gone to a Foster Home as well with our friend Margaret who does the massage therapy for our herd.  He will get plenty of purposeful exercise and massage, now that he actually has muscles to work with!

We had a new arrival about a week ago, Willow, who we took to a Foster Home today as well.  Willow has severe lateral luxated patella, as well as significant rotation of her coffin bones.  She will be getting plenty of walks to strengthen her legs to see if it helps her hind end, as well as physical therapy.  Luckily, she is still very sound in the front.  She is a complete sweetheart and once she has been assessed, she will be available to a home with the right kind of setup for her.

Here she is enjoying the sunshine the other day...

As for the previous newbies... Cruz's Adoption is pending!  Lulu has some strong interest and is now up for Adoption.  She is now hanging out with Cinnabar and they are getting along great.  Cinnabar has done a complete turnaround in attitude.  He is now a very mellow fellow!  And, little Starbright is going to her Foster Home on Tuesday.  She will remain there into the new year as she puts on weight.  She has already lost that hard edge since her teeth were done and she is now able to chew.

Here is a picture of Cruz on that same sunny day...

So, that brings me to our FOUR new, new arrivals.

There is the two year old bay pinto gelding that we are having a naming contest for on our Facebook page.  He seems very sweet... though he does nip.  LOL

Here he is...

He's got a Mini-Me who arrived today... a yearling bay pinto colt we've named Baron.

Here he is with his sire, Duke (a 20 year old stallion), who came with him...

And lastly is Baron's dam, Duchess, a 22 year old mare.  These four will be seeing the vet tomorrow and we'll see what's what with them.
