Well... Nimo went to a new home last week - and it turns out that was good timing! I got a call last night from J&M Acres Horse Rescue. Apparently two small shetlands had been abandoned at the auction house. We went there this morning too see them - and took them home.
These two boys are going to be lots of work. They seem to be relatively healthy, but are absolutely petrified of people. We had to chute them onto the trailer and we unloaded them directly into the round pen at home and just opened the back gate into their paddock. There was no way that I would have been able to touch them, let alone halter them. It's going to be a fun summer! Hahaha!
They are both going to need to be gelded and have their teeth done as well as have their shots, wormer and lice powder etc. Double the trouble! Donations are gladly being accepted right now for these guys' bills. As soon as I can catch them - they are going to start racking up the invoices!
