Wow - what nice weather we've been having! The Minis are loving it, just so happy to be sunbathing and soaking up the sunshine! Rainbow Dash and little Sky Wishes spend their days outside. Sky is getting much braver and into much more mischief! LOL She sure keeps Dash on her toes!
Frodo and Epic are hanging out together, just waiting for their trailer rides to take them up north to their new homes.
It looks as though Bilbo will be heading to a new home this week! Just have to dot the i's and cross the t's and he'll be Adopted and on his way! He's such a super little guy, I'm glad that he's getting this terrific new home. He's going to be a buddy for an older gelding and a playmate for some future warmblood foals.
Cinnabar has had some major progress lately in his attitude. He's wanted to be friends with humans for quite some time now, but lately he's been approaching us and visitors all on his own and allowing himself to be handled voluntarily. It's a huge step in his journey to get past his abuse!
Starbright and Hula have both been Adopted by their foster homes! LOL Therein lies the danger of fostering the cuteness! Don't blame me! LOL
Twilight Sparkle is now on camera! I don't think she'll foal out until May at the earliest, but you can help us to watch her by clicking here.
Magpie had a big day! The vet gave her the all-clear to be let out of her small area! She now gets to be a real horse again! Her wounds are still healing, but they are solid and well covered now. PLUS, one of our volunteers is planning to Adopt her in June, once she's ready to go! She spends lots of time with her every week and so it's a great home with someone who's known her all along. Simply wonderful! There is a video of Magpie's healing journey on her "graphic" page you can get there through here.
Willow is still doing wonderfully at her foster home. She may be coming back here to the main facility soon if nothing new comes in before everyone else gets to go to their new homes. This is the lowest number of horses we've had in well over a year. The Adopters are really stepping up to the plate! Thank you so much everyone for spreading the word about Pipsqueak Paddocks!
We did have two new arrivals recently though. Cream and Sugar are a pair of Shetland sisters who are THE best kid's ponies I have ever met! We're still getting them up to snuff, but they are amazing with the little ones! They're fostered with a family around the corner and even the dad is impressed with them!
Here's Sugar and Cream.
