Okay... let's see now...
We got ANOTHER surrender in! Her name is Hula and she is about 16 years old. She has had a rough go of it. Her teeth were done today and the vet said that she'd likely never been done before. Her left hind leg has been ripped out of the socket and healed with a false joint, so her leg points outwards. The injury is a year old and the vet says that her body has compensated for it. She can get around alright and is not in pain, though she is a candidate for early arthritis in that area. Hula will need a home where she does not get pushed around at all, she need to move when SHE feels like it only.
The vet confirmed that Minuette is a yearling. We still do not know if she is pregnant, though it is less likely as a yearling. Rhapsody had his teeth done today as well. Half a dozen got their shots and we're ready for the vet tomorrow. Disco and Calypso will get their teeth done and be gelded in the morning.
We are also going to be getting two MORE new arrivals on Boxing Day... so stay tuned!
