Well... it's been too miserable for any new photos. Everyone is doing well though. Mickey has been adopted and will be leaving us shortly for the Island! Sparrow will be sad to lose her companion, but we are going to release her for Adoption within the next few days. She is doing very well... she's as healthy as... a horse!
Bolero is still battling his infection. The vet came out and cut out some scar tissue to aid the closing of the wound. He is mighty tired of the daily cold-hosing and he is now getting injections to step up the healing support. He is very tolerant of everything and is a total sweetheart.
Rufio has an appointment to go and stay at Jonathan Field's place for a few days in mid-December. I have hit a plateau with him and need to call in the big guns again. He is fine with consistant daily handling, but is so petrified of anything new regarding his feet etc. that I need a professional opinion on whether or not he'll be able to overcome his fears. He is starting to overreact now that I'm having to push him past his comfort zone and I just don't know if he'll ever be okay. I am sad, to say the least, about his lack of progress and I'm now starting to wonder if it is a mental problem that can ever be overcome.
Jupiter and Mully are good as ever. Mulligan has quite the temper and has taken to galloping around the paddocks if he is denied anything. He just runs around on the stubby little legs and bucks at the other horses. He makes us all laugh every day, he's such a treasure.
