Where to begin?

Okay... it has been a crazy week so far!  Let's see now...

The Silver Dapple had his feet done on Sunday.  It looks as though the founder is not active - YAY!  So, it will just be many months of extra trims to get him back to normal.  The Farrier is confident that he can make a full recovery in the hoof department!

Then, on Tuesday morning we took Zodiac down the street to a temporary foster home and brought The Bay to Pipsqueak Paddocks from his temporary foster home.  (A HUGE thank you to Irene and Tina for each lending us their space and time!)   That evening, all three of the new boys had their teeth done.  The Bay is good to go.  The Sorrel was really messed up, partly due to his underbite.  He had a lot of work done and will be done again in a couple of months.  You can only change so much at a time.  The Silver Dapple is better, but we took it easy on him due to his breathing problems.  He will need to be done again when he is healthier.

So, on Wednesday, the vet came to geld The Bay.  He is now in recovery and seems to be doing fine.  She also checked out The Silver Dapple.  Wow.  He is having some sort of trouble breathing.  She pulled blood to check indicators for internal problems.  For now we are trying an antihistamine in the hopes that it is just a seasonal allergy, or something environmental that will clear up now that he is with us.  We will see how it goes.  He is starting to look better.  He holds his head up higher and is interested in what is going on around him.

We have been introducing The Sorrel to Mercury and Cavalier and they are getting along very nicely.  So, now he lives in the "big" paddock with them and I was able to bring Zodiac home.  It was about a 10 block walk right down the main street of town!  It was very good for him!  He would whinny LOUDLY to every dog he saw!  LOL

Here are some pictures of the gang from this week...
